FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does purchasing a property from your site work?

Purchasing property is an easy, three-step process:
First: Choose your property and make your deposit using our online checkout. Second: We will prepare an agreement for your review. Third: We’ll begin the closing process in-house or with a third party i.e. through title.

Are their any hidden fees when buying land from you?

There are no additional fees when purchasing land from us. If you choose to use our in-house closing, we charge a document fee which covers our costs to record documents with the county, including the payment of county fees and taxes.

Are you a real estate agent?

No, we are not real estate agents or brokers. We are investors who purchase land and sell it at discounted prices for a fast sale. We own the property we sell, and we have a thorough due-diligence process that we put each property through before we purchase property.

Why are your properties so cheap?

We buy land at discounted prices and typically close in-house, which saves thousands of dollars. We then pass off savings to people who are looking to invest in land or purchase land to build on.

Can you keep me help me look for a specific kind of property?

Yes, we frequently get requests in regards to searching for a specific type of property or property in a certain area. Email us at hello@douglasfircapital.com if you have questions about our properties, or want help finding a specific type of property.

How do I know if this is a safe way to purchase property?

We use state-of-the-art web security to make sure your information stays safe and encrypted. We process all our payments using Stripe, an industry leader in the payment processing business. You can also verify with the county that we own the properties that we are selling before you purchase, and we can provide you with the recorded deed proving ownership upon request.
